Tonight is the 5th and last night of Diwali, the Festival of Light, which is both a harvest festival and a joyous celebration of the Hindu lunar New Year.

This auspicious holiday celebrates light and prosperity.

The focus on this final day and night is to see the good in others (including those you’ve had issues with).

I’m appreciating you very much, and all you’ve added to my life.

To celebrate and to thank you, I made an audio for you today of the prayer “I Open” that I posted awhile back in written form: A Two-Minute Opening to Inspiration and Guidance.

I say it almost every morning while I warm my muscles in the jacuzzi in the backyard.

It’s a beautiful way to celebrate each new day and open to its gifts.

You can listen to it below, or right-click to download it here, and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

I wish you much light and many blessings in the year to come.

OMG! That was so wonderful. I felt your energy so strongly. My crown opened right up. I felt streams of energy running from this area. Just beautiful! Please so record some more meditations for us!

Oh, thanks, Angela! I’m so glad you liked it. Hey, remember when I wrote about my rotator cuff issues? Well … I’ve realized it’s from being at my computer too much. So I’ve been thinking about doing a little less writing and a little more audio and/or video, so your encouragement is timed just perfectly!

Thank you, too, for sharing it on FB and Twitter. Someday I hope I can repay you for all your support. 🙂

    Hi Patti,
I just wanted to quickly say hello and thank you! I happened across your site through a facebook link and have just spent God knows how many hours reading loads of your articles, all the way back to the very beginning! I’ve bookmarked a bunch as I really must go to bed now! It’s gone midnight here in the UK! Your articles are super helpful and insightful and your site reads like a good book that you can’t put down! It’s been a lovely way to spend the evening.
    Thank you for sharing.
