If you look
with innocent perception,
with unconditioned consciousness,
you can see beauty
everywhere.

It’s a natural expression of consciousness.

You
are pure consciousness,
manifesting.

Everything is you, in your various forms.

Emerging.

That is your purpose.
It’s for the consciousness to emerge fully through this form.

~ Eckhart Tolle, The Realization of Being

May you continue to emerge beautifully in 2013.
As the human being that is “you”, and
as all the phenomena that appear in your life.

May you experience the peace and joy intrinsic in the full allowing of that.

The freedom, the power, and yes, the playfulness!

Can you sense what a beautiful gift you are to the world?
I hope so!

All my best to you.
With love,

Patti

P.S. These photos represent just a *little* of the beauty I woke up to on New Year’s day, here in the high desert. I wanted to share some of it with you along with a few of my thoughts as I welcomed this beautiful new year. Here’s to a happy & sparkly New Year 2013!

I *love* this…what a beautiful gift! I love the feel of the words and the photos..and I do love my So CA sunshine, but I was raised in crisp, cold, upstate NY winters, the air can be enlivening and refreshing…your photos remind me of white space and the importance of leaving lots of room for it and celebrating it :) Thank you!

Thank you, Joy! I always love finding your energy here in the comment section. :-)

Just this morning, I was in the backyard, noticing that the birds were coming to the feeder even though I was just a few (like 2!) feet away. I thought about how some of my family think I’m isolated here, but here I am, with life all around me! Good, happy, pure life! And not just the birds and the bunnies and the coyotes, but the trees, the grasses, the so-called “weeds” that bring glorious spring flowers. Ahhh!

And YES. I love the “space” best of all, I think. I think that’s why the birds were so friendly and trusting. I’d just spent some time BEing the stillness (I know you know what I mean) and they somehow responded to that “vibe”.

And as to the seasons, I hear ya! I grew up in Ohio where the winters were long and cold and snowy. Dreariness and slush abounded! Then I lived in CA (Bay Area) for 20 years. I missed the change of seasons. I missed the thunderous lightening storms! So here I am where there’s a happy middle ground. In the high desert, there’s so much winter sunshine that it never seems dreary and the snow often melts before it becomes a mess. I just love it.

Thanks so much for coming by! xoxo

      Hi Becky!

I agree VERY much on the laughter. My husband is soooo funny, I can’t imagine how different my life would be without all the laughter he brings on a constant basis. Plus, when we can easily laugh, it’s a good sign in general, right? (And that’s besides that it just feels so good like you said!)

Thanks for coming by, and I wish you much light, love, and laughter! :-D

Oh, Patti, such gorgeous photos and beautiful words. How is it that I don’t yet know this Eckhart Tolle book?! I must check it out immediately. But those photos ~ they make me homesick for the high desert. Such beauty!!

Happy New Year to you and much joy and peace and love!! Love, Silke

Hi Silke! Thanks for visiting! :-)

Actually, Tolle seems to be interested in only a few books, but zillions of audios, which is what this is. I’ve got lots of them, and in some ways think they may be even more powerful than his books because I feel more connected with his presence and they seem to put me into that space he is all about. Plus, they’re easy to listen to over and over. So ya, it’s an audio, and I do think you’d like it!

As to being homesick — well … maybe these photos can give you just a little piece of what you’re missing. I hope so!

Happy New Year and BIG hugs. Bunches of love to you!
