Do you ever wish you had a go-to place where you could get reliable insights or guidance on that issue that’s been chewing at you? Or maybe something not so critical that you’ve been chewing on?

Something quick that helps you move forward? And down a fruitful path instead of a dead-end or worse?

Well, you do!  There is an easy and convenient way to access all the relevant information surrounding your question or issue, and quickly get to the essence of it.

It’s called a “prasna” reading in Jyotish (Vedic astrology).

The moment you ask a question of a Jyotishi (like me), that question is born into the world, so a chart of that moment can be drawn up and interpreted for an answer. We don’t even need your birth data, but the answer is yours alone.

I have an article here that I wrote awhile back giving a few real examples of people benefiting from prasnas and how you can, too. I think it’s pretty informative and interesting if I say so myself.

And I didn’t mention it in the article, but there are 3 additional things that I incorporate into your prasna to give you more value that most Jyotishis don’t:

  1. Nimitta or Omens
There’s an element of prasna called nimitta (meaning “omen”). That’s when the Jyotishi notices any “signs” that surround the asking of the question (and I like to watch throughout the process). This is incorporated into the answer.
  2. Intuition
Another element that has become a much bigger part of my readings over the years is good old intuition. Often impressions just come to me. I used to puzzle over whether I’d somehow “seen” it in the chart without realizing it, but now I know that I am just so in tune during the analysis that I am receiving information intuitively. I always make a note of it and honestly can’t remember a time where I told the client and they didn’t heartily confirm it. In fact, usually it’s uniquely significant and relevant and helps them in a way that the astrology alone couldn’t have.
  3. Channeled messages especially for you at this time
I’ve incorporated channeling into my practice in the last 4 years. It can be done alone (instead of a prasna) but is especially suited to being combined with prasna. Like the intuitive information that comes in while I’m looking at a chart, the channeled messages are excellent at bringing in complementary information. These are done separately from looking at the chart and in an open and receptive frame of mind.

So, I just wanted you to know about this cool feature of Jyotish. It’s one of those things I am so aware of that it’s not always in the front of my mind to mention. Still, much too useful to not announce it now and then.

It provides quick answers and guidance for whatever is on your mind. Hard to beat.

And did I mention it’s available here for a very affordable fee? 😉 If you want a go-to place, you’ve got it! And you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own home to get there.

So how come there are just STOP signs and no GO signs?

Oh wait! That’s not our problem, because we’re talking about oracle-type signs here. Whew! In fact, we are going to SPOT signs. Ar ar.

Watching for and noticing these is a favorite past-time of mine, partly because it’s fun but mainly because it’s so helpful.

I want to tell you about 2 of the more easy signs to spot so you can benefit too.

This post was partly inspired by Collette Baron-Reid’s blog, which I’m happy to have discovered recently. A little while back, she had written a post about using her pumpkin soup as an oracle. Yes, pumpkin soup!

It was a resourceful idea and fun to read. I commented that “… the whole world is our oracle, and it is so fun playing with it that way. So many of my spot-on intuitions come to me that way, often startlingly so.”

Well, this past week Collette wrote another oracle post offering an exercise in using our world as an oracle and asking for our results as comments.

This time I had a little more to say than would fit into a comment so I am going to share a few of my experiences here.

I have two examples of using our world as an oracle, both illustrating signs that are easy to spot. There is an awful lot to say about this topic and I will explain more in the future but for now here is a bite-size morsel.

Spotted & Spot-On: 2 Examples

The morsel I want to offer today is the idea of a sign repeating itself, i.e. an element in your environment showing up multiple times. This is usually hard to miss and is a call to pay attention.

In Vedic astrology (which is a complex oracular system in itself) this idea is known as confluence. It’s one thing to see an indication in someone’s chart once, but if you see it two, three, four or more times from various perspectives, it’s much more likely to manifest.

Well, this is a similar idea.

  1. If something shows up several times out of the blue, especially something you have no control over or is unusual, then pay attention.
  2. Or if a synchronicity shows up (something appearing more than once but as a set of related elements, a type of coincidence), then pay attention to that, too.

Example 1: Synchronicity

The day before I read Collette’s most recent oracle post, I was researching something about my early days of channeling. I was looking at a document I’d written four years ago.

What I was doing wasn’t related to oracles, and the document I was looking at wasn’t about oracles, but the document included a really neat example of an oracle.

The next day, I saw Collette’s post where she asked for an example of using an outer oracle.

So you see where the idea of an example of an oracle showed up twice in unrelated and unexpected ways. This is a simple example of a synchronicity.

At first I was going to do the exercise as Collette suggested, but I noticed the synchronicity in this. I decided the synchronicity was a message to me to write about this particular example of an oracle. It all feels right and I’m kind of excited about sharing it. So here I am!

How Do You Know When Synchronicities Are Relevant?

Any or all of these work. Ideally you want a few of them at once.

  • You notice it
  • Either one or both elements are unusual
  • The elements have an unusual connection
  • There is more than one element or connection (this can play out in any number of ways)
  • It feels significant
  • You feel a sense of excitement about executing the guidance (doing what you think it’s guiding you to do)
  • It just “feels right”!

An especially interesting and thorough book about the power of synchronicity is Deepak Chopra’s The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence.

Example 2: Multiple Occurrences

This example is the oracle I referred to above, that I experienced and documented four years ago. It’s a situation where something showed up at least 3 times.

To briefly set the stage, I was experimenting with a precursor to my channeling. I would ask a question and “get” an answer however it showed up.

My question (about my intuition) was:

Q: How can I best hear/see/feel/connect so I have confidence it is happening?

The answer was:

A: Follow through on what you “get” and you will see.

This was fine, but I wanted more. So I probed:

Q: Please give me something I cannot doubt.

And the document continues:

The following just then came to mind; not especially related to questions:

Use your hands (and I saw fire coming from my palms)

and then I for some reason put my hands on my heart, and put my awareness in my heart too.

Regarding the answer to “give me something I cannot doubt”, here’s what unfolded:

– I went to the big, old piñon out back to let the crystals soak in water in the solstice sun. A little bug flew down onto the rock in front of me. It turned around and watched me. It flew away, came back, same thing! So I talked to it and asked it if it had a message. It rubbed its little hands together and they stopped in a prayer position. He stayed that way. (I took it to mean I ought to pray more.)

– A little later (~ ½ hr.) I was in my office and heard *clunk* in the living room. My white chocolate angel on the buffet had fallen forward on her nose! (The cooler was on, but this has never happened before). She is praying.

– Dana got home about ½ hr. after that. He brought me a gift from my friend. It was an ANGEL statue!! It’s holding a red rose in the heart area.

So prayer – prayer/angel – angel. (And even the bug had wings.) All with hands over heart.

The Nice Thing About Multiple Occurrences

1) They are so obvious as to almost knock you over the head!

In this example, there is no way I could have possibly missed all the similar and related objects and events.

2) Their message is clear as a bell.

In this example, it gave me a crystal clear answer to my first question about how I can best connect: to pray and to connect with heart and/or “angel” energy, which to me is quite high frequency and I have techniques for doing that.

3) They can give you confidence and trust that you are “getting” it.

In this example, it gave me something I could not doubt, just what I asked for in my 2nd question/request! The prayer and angel symbols showed up in my real world 3 times within an hour.

So ultimately, what these can do for you is strongly encourage you to trust what you get. And then that will help you act on it, which in turn will help you benefit from the message!

These Apply to All Areas of Life

One final word: I hesitated to use this example because it’s so angel/prayer oriented. Not that there’s anything wrong with that 😀 but I don’t want you to get the impression this just works with airy-fairy stuff!

Heck, answers or messages can pop in when you’re grocery shopping to help you pick the most healthful or yummy foods, when you’re making financial decisions, developing relationships, choosing careers… Anytime for anything! It just so happened that my example related to my wanting to do subtle energy work, so of course the answer is in that realm too. Plus, I was guided to use this example by a synchronicity, remember? 😉 And I have learned to pay attention.

And remember to ask sometimes, too. That helps!

OK, now I know some of you have some great stories! Please share your examples! And of course, questions are welcome too.

Or did you need a YES today? Think this was it?

Ah, release and movement at last!

Have you noticed, for about the last 4 months, that try as you might, making progress has been slow going? Especially when it comes to taking advantage of new opportunities? Well, if so, you can breathe a sigh of relief for that ought to be letting up just about now. Jupiter has been in its own sign of Pisces, very happy there, and considering it is a planet of great abundance, expansion, opportunity, and grace, this is a good thing, right? Right!

But wait, not so fast. There’s been a modifying factor and that is that Jupiter’s been under the strong and opposing influence of Saturn, and Saturn tends to slow things down. It can either add an element of caution or it can throw flat-out delays into the mix. Considering it’s in the sign of Virgo right now, this could indicate that there are simply a whole lot of little details to tend to.

Just a Little More Perseverance

Fortunately, this limiting situation will soon be a thing of the past. Starting a few weeks ago, the influence of Saturn on Jupiter has been letting up little by little. That means we should already be beginning to feel the shift toward more easy movement toward our goals.

So, if you’ve been starting to feel discouraged, or like maybe you are barking up the wrong tree, take a moment before you give up. Breathe. Breathe again… Is this something you want? Will it add value to your life and others’? Well then, perhaps it’s worth another try. Jupiter can be an awesome ally when it comes to moving things along, especially things that feel purposeful. (If you know your sidereal ascendant, then look at which house Pisces falls in. This is the area of life where you will feel this helpful boost especially strongly.)

Time to Shine: Spotlight or Laser Beam

For about the next month, it’s a great time to shine by either expressing yourself or taking care of  details, or both.  As mentioned in last month’s post, Mercury, the planet of communication, has been in Sun-ruled Leo, a sign of inspired and sometimes dramatic self-expression. It’s no longer retrograde so will be projecting its influence a little more predictably than it had been.

The Sun, in turn, happens to be in Mercury-ruled Virgo as of a few days ago. This is a special relationship (called a Parivartana Yoga in Jyotish) between planets when they are in each others’ signs, connecting them both in a strong and significant way. Even after Mercury goes into its own sign of Virgo on the 30th and we no longer have the Parivartana, the Sun and Mercury will still be connected because they will be together in the same sign. Not only that, but Virgo is Mercury’s sign of “exaltation”, meaning that’s its favorite sign in the zodiac since it can express itself most perfectly there.

What this means is that we are being supported in expressing (Mercury) who we are (Sun) right now. We may be inspired in a big way (Leo). We may find that this mode of expression fits perfectly with something that is practical (Virgo, an earth sign, thus “down-to-earth” practical). If you are getting ideas that might combine any of these elements, it’s a great time to go for it since the planets are supporting you.

Seize the day!

Step-by-Step Detailed Activities Pay Off

One more thing about this. The Sun is — and soon Mercury will be — in Virgo where Saturn is. This is a sign of meticulous detail. And Saturn is a planet that is slow but steady, showing eventual gains through making a commitment and then moving step by step toward that goal.

So again, if you’ve been doing that and perhaps not making as much progress as you would like, then be aware that this area of activity is about to get a boost from some quick-moving and inspired Sun and Mercury influence, and things may even move a little faster.

Some Passion to Fuel Our Creativity

And finally, another bit of relief comes from the fact that Venus is no longer “debilitated” (i.e. in its least favorite sign) but is now in its OWN sign of Libra where it’s quite happy! It will be here until December, and since Venus is a benefic planet of delight, love, affection, art/creativity, beauty, etc., this is very good news. (In fact, Jupiter and Venus are our best benefics and both are treating us to spectacular dispays in the night sky this month. Where I live, in the high desert with its crisp clear night skies, Venus has been taking my breath away.) Besides that, Mars has been there with it, giving it a physical and fiery element which helps fuel passion in action! So again, if you are feeling inspired to express yourself, especially in artistic or affectionate ways, you may want to go ahead and do it or Mars may make a fuss. It’s much better to channel Mars’ energy in a conscious manner than to suppress it. That just causes it to sort of explode when you’re not looking. Not pretty.

What’s Your Experience?

So, I’m curious to hear if any of this clicks with what you’ve been experiencing! It does for me, since I have been experiencing quite a lot of opportunity but it’s as if the moment I get in the door, things come to a screeching halt. I’m excited to see what the next few weeks and month will bring.

Or if you are not clicking with any of this, and it’s not your experience, maybe your own chart shows strong influences that override these. Keep in mind we can always run your chart and do a reading specifically for you and get much more detail about working with the influences in your life.

In any case, I’d like to hear what you have to say about any of this. So how about you? Clicking?

Color is our way of perceiving vibrations that are affecting every one of us all the time. For the most part, this is going on below our level of consciousness. But if you will begin to pay attention and learn how the different colors can be applied, you can benefit in a wide range of areas.

This is such a broad topic that I could write a book, so this one post is nowhere near comprehensive in breadth or depth. More details and how-to’s will follow since applying this type of awareness is exactly what this blog is about!

Right now I just want to point out how many areas of your life you can make the use of color more conscious so as to harness its power and apply it to your benefit. This awareness alone can be very helpful.

Applications range from applying color, i.e. putting it out there into the world so as to elicit a particular result, to perceiving and then interpreting color as a means of better understanding our world. (We can think of this as output and input.)

A little example: A few weeks ago I impulsively chose a whole new color scheme for this website. Whereas before it was mostly purple and blue, I found myself suddenly and without warning changing it to a strikingly different bright golden yellow with some burnt orange and a warm brown. What possessed me, I wondered. And hmm, I wonder if this will be as appealing or more so and to what effect? As I did a little research into this new color scheme I not only saw that it will, indeed, have a quite different effect on visitors (output), but that it also revealed a bit about me and how I feel about what this site represents as a part of my own expression (input).

Let’s take a look at some areas of application.

Marketing: Make the Right Impression

This was the area that got me thinking about writing this post (which is why it is listed first), yet is the area in which I am the least familiar with the specific uses of color. Color can be used online and for printed material to make a particular impression and to invoke particular responses. (In fact it will make certain subliminal impressions so it behooves you to know what they will be!) I will get more into the specifics of individual colors in an upcoming post, but here is a useful and succinct article I ran across about the use of color in marketing, and this one was interesting too.

Influence Yourself Positively

Colors can be used to influence your mood and to help support you in whatever activities you are wanting to take part in. For example, blue and green are helpful for writing and study, whereas red and orange are good for physical activities and sports.

Enhance Your Life Situation

Jyotish (Vedic astrology) is one system I am very familiar with so I will use this as an example of a system that uses color to effect broad and surprising changes. In some ways, Jyotish can be thought of as one of the more complex oracle systems, and color is an integral part of understanding not only how various symbols relate to the greater whole but also how to apply them and their respective colors to encourage certain practical effects. (Some other oracular systems incorporate color as well.)

An example is something I recently posted about strengthening Venus energy which is weak in the world right now. Among other things, Venus represents art and creativity, relationships (especially with our beloved), beauty, comfort, and luxury. Venus’ colors are pastels and variegated colors, especially pink. Simply using or being around Venus colors will strengthen most or all of those areas that Venus represents. It’s kind of unbelievable, but it really does work.

If you think about it, what you are doing when you expose yourself more often to a certain color is you are increasing and strengthening a particular vibration. And the vibration of pink relates strongly to the vibration of love, for example. So looked at like this, it all makes a lot of sense. (This is how seed or name mantras work as well, and in fact, much of what I am saying about color holds true for sound as well.)

Boost Your Healing Powers

This is related to influencing yourself, but in considering healing, I think of color’s influence as taking place over time and having a more long-term influence.

Colors in Our Environment

The locations where we spend a lot of our time are very important to consider since they have an almost constant influence on us. We can use this to our benefit, or unbeknownst to us, these areas can be causing problems for us or our families physically, mentally, or emotionally.

If you usually feel calm, upset, phsysically energized, lethargic, etc. in a certain location, notice the predominant color and see if you think that is a major factor.

Clear and Strengthen Body Centers or Chakras

This is a powerful use of color as visualizing a center’s corresponding color (and/or using it in conjunction with the corresponding note on the musical scale) can strengthen and clear our body centers. Each center relates to how well we function in certain areas. For example, our root chakra relates to how secure we feel and using a clear, pure red to treat this area can go a long way toward alleviating our fears about finances, death, etc.

Eat Every Color Every Day

To tell the truth, I don’t think this relates so much to the idea of color as vibration as it does to simply variety but I like it and it sort of fits here! The idea is that every day you eat food of every color and you will have a nice variety of tastes, textures, and nutrition. Fun! But hmm… Now that I think about it, since foods’ colors must at some level represent their vibration, eating them must influence in similar ways as the colors in our environment, don’t you think?

An Integral Intuitive Element

Perceiving color with our subtle senses or our mind’s eye is a great way to increase our knowledge about our world.

The Aura

If you are one of the lucky ones who is able to see auras (either naturally or through practice), you know that they can be extremely informative. They can indicate a person’s (or animal’s or plant’s) condition physically, emotionally, and mentally and sometimes in great detail.

There are standard lists of what certain colors may mean in an aura (or certain patterns of color) yet it’s recommended that you use these only as a starting point and put more weight on what you learn through experience that the colors mean to you.

Body Charts for Intuitive Work

An effective and fun way to investigate someone’s condition is to use a body chart that is drawn on a piece of white paper. As you focus on that person (or animal or plant) you will begin to see patterns of color with your mind’s eye which in turn indicate meaning to you. This practice is used similarly to that of seeing auras but can be done even when separated by great distances.

Get a Reading on Yourself

Noticing if there is a pattern or strong desire for a certain color (e.g. what color you are drawn to wear, or what color you are strongly attracted to in general) can be very informative. Sometimes it will be because you need help in that area or sometimes it’s because you are very healthy in that area and wanting to express it.

Exercises

There are lots of exercises designed to help increase our intuition that use color. A simple one that we’ve all probably heard of or tried is using playing cards. You go through the deck, pick up the top card, and see if it feels black or red. They really do have quite a different feel to them and this can be used to increase our awareness of our subtle senses.

At this point, I’m realizing I could probably go on forever (okay, for a long time) about the many applications of color in our lives. But this is a good start so I will stop here for now. I wanted to lay a foundation and to set the stage for posts on more in-depth applications.

Also, knowing how each individual color affects us is a critical adjunct to this information so I’ll write about that very shortly, I promise! [Update: I’ve since posted that information for you here.]

I hope I’ve illuminated that there can be lots of benefits of paying a bit more attention to color, this common element of our experience that we all tend to take so much for granted. Start to pay attention now and besides reaping some immediate benefits, you’ll be well positioned to jump into specific tools and exercises when we get to them.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear your observations about this!

This is my monthly (or so) Jyotish report on what’s going on in the heavens and how we can benefit if we work in synch with the energies. Enjoy!

First, if you like light shows, don’t miss the annual Perseid meteor shower in a few days. It’s right on the tail of the New Moon of the 9th, so the sky will be nice and dark for those of you in low light zones. It is going on already but peaks the night of the 12th/13th with over 100 meteors per hour. (Okay, this isn’t exactly astrology, but too good not to mention.)

Good Days to Take Action

There are four Vedic holidays coming up that we all can take advantage of. These holidays are always auspicious days so they are good for beginnings or for doing any task that you want to have a lasting effect. On top of that, they are good for whatever each holiday specifically relates to, as indicated here. (These dates are for MDT, please adjust accordingly.)

  • 8/13 is the auspicious Naga Panchami, honoring of snakes & serpents, and relates to Rahu & Ketu who are the head and tail of a serpent. There are many fascinating legends about this day, and the idea of some is that if you honor serpents along with the serpent energy, then serpents will work with and for you. This is a good day to work with primal energies, kundalini (e.g. hatha yoga, martial arts, kriya yoga meditation, etc.) and things that kundalini represents such as the potential unleashed by movement toward the divine. It’s also a good day to harmonize with snakes as a precious part of our natural world. You can read a little more here.
  • 8/20 is Varalakshami Vratam, related to Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and thus Venus as well. You can find an interesting story here.
  • 8/24 is Raksha Bandhan, related to the malefic planets and is about protection. The festivals of this day are related to the bond between brothers and sisters, so this is  a wonderful day to take time to connect with or show appreciation to your siblings. You can read more here.
This is also the Full Moon.
  • 9/1 is the auspicious Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Krishna’s birthday, a day of great celebration the world over.
What the August Chart Tells Us

And now let’s talk about what this month’s chart indicates to us and how we can best take advantage of the current energies. [Note: If you are not familiar with Vedic astrology, there are lots of informative articles here.]

Chart 100801

Watch for Opportunities

Jupiter is still in its own sign of Pisces and will be retrograde until 11/19. Planets are strong and happy in their own sign, and even stronger when retrograde. This is very good news since Jupiter is a first class benefic and is shedding its graces on us big time!

Jupiter is an expansive planet, and that means that right now we should all be keeping our eyes open for openings and new opportunities — don’t let them slip by. It’s also easy right now to be optimistic, and this can in turn feed into the fact that it’s a time for increased abundance in general. Jupiter is a planet of dharma, representing our purpose, so it’s an especially good time to move toward what you feel or think will be fulfilling for you at all levels. Some of the other indications of Jupiter are publishing, higher education, learning, teaching, children, spirituality, and whoever we consider to be our guru. Taking actions in any or all of these areas is favored right now.

Mars and Saturn are opposing Jupiter right now, however, so for awhile there will likely be a bit of an impulsiveness counteracted by a need to go slowly, but this shouldn’t be such a major influence as to cause major problems. Or there may be some hiccups in our attempts to move forward, but we should not let that deter us. The good news about this is that Mars will likely add an element of courage right now so that we are more likely to go for whatever we are aspiring to.

It’s Time to Shine

The Sun is in Cancer until the 17th when it moves into its own sign of Leo. As I said above, a planet in its own sign is strong and happy so those things indicated by the Sun in our charts will be greatly favored. The Sun is the planet that represents us in all our glory. It’s how we shine! So while the Sun is in Leo (mid-August to mid-September), it’s an excellent time to take those actions where you want to be seen in your best light and want to be authoritative and influential.

It will be conjunct Mercury on September 3rd & 4th. Mercury is our rational mind and the Sun will help us be “bright” on those days, but at the same time it is so hot that it will likely cause “burn-out”. That means go ahead and take advantage of that mental brilliance, but don’t overdo it!

Inspired Ideas to Express

Besides the Sun, Mercury is in Leo right now, too. As I just alluded to, this inspired, expressive location is a very creative place for our rational minds to be operating from. You can absolutely expect to have lots of great ideas that seem to come out of nowhere. Mercury is retrograde, thus extra strong, from 8/21 – 9/12. This indicates a great mixture of rational, practical thought with the out-of-the-ordinary element that inspiration sometimes has.

Now here’s the kicker, are you ready? Energies moving through Leo really really really want to be expressed! So those great ideas you are having? Put them into action! At the very least, discuss them with someone, write about them, paint about them… something! That will be a perfect first step and the way will unfold from there.

Areas of Pressure Let Up

On the 21st the nodes Rahu & Ketu begin to move again. Ahhh! That means the areas of your life where they have been causing pressure for the past three months will let up significantly. Still, they will remain in the same signs until May of 2011, so they will continue to have a similar effect, just not so intense.

And if you do find that their effects are a little tough to handle, you can find upayas for Rahu & Ketu here. These can be helpful all the way up until next May.

Support for Manifesting our Passions

If you look to the west just after sunset, you will see yellow Saturn, red Mars, and gloriously bright Venus hanging out together in the constellation of Virgo. Let’s see what their teamwork means to us right now.

This is a really interesting combination of planets and location. First, Saturn and Mars are not too fond of each other at all. Saturn is very slow and patient, and Mars just wants to go now! Both, however, are good at making things happen yet in different ways. Mars moves us to action and gives us courage. Saturn helps us plan and move patiently step by step. It ultimately leads to concretizing what begins as something ethereal such as an idea.

Virgo is an earth sign, meaning it is also about manifesting, and in a very practical way. In fact, energies moving through Virgo can be aided by the detail Virgo provides.

So you can see that the planning that Saturn supports can work very well in detailed and practical Virgo, so this is a very good time to take those ideas Mercury in Leo is providing and consider how you might make a practical and perhaps detailed plan to get you where you want to go step by step. Then you can take advantage of that Mars energy to get the ball rolling.

Secondly, Venus and Mars together mean passion! This combination supports and adds to those inspired ideas offered by Mercury right now in that it adds an element of light-hearted creativity and artistry (Venus) and vibrant vitality (Mars) to the mix — again, in a practical way. And Venus and Mars will be moving together for awhile so expect the passion to continue.

We Can Help Venus Help Us

It’s worth noting that Venus is debilitated in Virgo, meaning Virgo is its least favorite sign. Being so light and dreamy and creative, Venus would much prefer a place that is not so gosh-darn practical! The pressure of heavy Saturn and the heat of fiery Mars are also a bit much for refined Venus to handle.

Because of that, I suggest doing some Venus upayas (Vedic remedies) until Venus moves into its own sign of Libra on September 9th, when it will be much happier. Practicing these remedies will help those areas of our lives that are indicated by Venus. These areas include art and creativity, relationships (especially with our beloved), beauty, comfort, luxury, and our means of transportation.

You can find some Venus upayas here.

These Energies at Work – an Example

So, I have to laugh because as I was about to start writing the section above about inspired ideas, I had a GREAT IDEA for a proposal I could make that would move my career forward! Perfect, don’t you think? (And it’s not because I was trying to come up with an inspired idea. In fact, I was distracted from this post and looking at something else entirely.)

Now, if the Sun and Jupiter pull through for me, my work ought to be seen in a good enough light as to open this new opportunity for my expansion. (And I’m noting that I might do best to wait until after the 17th so I have support of the Sun in Leo.)

And besides Mars’ help in the courage area, what I know about these indications just might help give me the extra little bit of  courage I need to make the proposal too. See? That’s how this works! I couldn’t have planned this better!

And speaking of planning, remember what I said about being practical and going step by step? It does indeed make sense for me to get my ducks in a row before jumping in, and I am confident I have support of the powers that be right now for doing just that!

So, wish me luck! (Jupiter’s grace can also be thought of as luck, so perhaps I already have it since Jupiter is so strong right now.)

Your Turn: What’s YOUR Experience?

Well, there’s a lot of information here, and I’m sure it must apply in some way to your life right now! I — and other readers too — would LOVE to hear if and how you are experiencing these energies! Can you relate to any of this? In what way?

Or if you have any questions, please ask! (Someone else is probably wondering too.)

It’s as easy as clicking on the comment link and joining the discussion. I look forward to hearing from you.
