New Eyes & Points of Light

This is a message that I channeled for someone this past Easter.

Normally my channelings are quite personal and more about everyday, practical matters than about something so esoteric-sounding as the Christ energy.

But being Easter, Christ and the Resurrection happened to be the main topic of the day.

Still, I think you’ll find you can apply these ideas.

This information is from a special guide I know as Melchizedek.

It touches upon:

  • The Christ energy and our expression of that
  • Christ’s return as distributed points of light (that’s you)
  • You as a cell in the body of Christ
  • How the return is unfolding over time
  • Worship and devotion
  • Seeing things anew
  • You are rising as well

My intention — and what I ask for whenever I channel — is that it be helpful to the questioner at this point in time.

In this case, because it was so generalized and I was inspired to share it with you, I am trusting  that it might be helpful to you, too.

Many thanks to the questioner for his enthusiastic permission and encouragement.

By the way: I’m not claiming that this is absolute or universal truth. I’m just sharing an experience. These questions have been asked, answered, and shared freely and unconditionally — no expectations and no strings attached.

So just take what you want and leave the rest.

I hope you enjoy this. Namasté.

The Christ Energy

Q: Most of my life I’ve been looking at the Christ story and the Jesus story.

I wondered if you could make some comments about the truest nature of resurrection and what the point of practicing that in Jesus’ life was as a message to us?

A: The main message was that Christ needed to – in order to interact with people – needed to touch in as a human being and actually wanted to enjoy the experience of being human.

At the same time the message of the resurrection is that our bodies should not be a hindrance to anything – any expansion or any level of consciousness that we are able to recognize in ourselves.

Q: Quite a demonstration I’d say.

And then it gets me how Christ has manifested in human form, talked about love and peace and compassion and all these things. And as soon as he passes, mankind uses him as a justification for war, right and wrong, all of that.

Is that just human fallacy? Or how does that all come about? Why is the message so easily lost?

A: Christ would not have minded, for that is exactly the energy Christ came here to — even “came here” isn’t the right word — Christ made Itself known to help lift.

The fact that it gets activated is all a part of the process.

And you might do well to begin to recognize that besides that energy that was activated there was also the energy that does kind of “get” what Christ is about.

And that energy is also activated here on earth and it IS making itself known.

And rather than be bothered by the other you may do well to tap into the lighted ones who are going to — by their attraction — strengthen the Christ energy.

Christ’s Return

Q: So how true is the belief that Christ’s next return will be as warrior? Is that the continuum of dealing with the activation? Or what’s that all about?

A: A part of the Christ energy is warrior energy, and the way it will manifest is that those who resonate with that part of the Christ will use that energy of the Christ but not everyone will.

For the Christ energy will not be seen as a singular type of energy.

It is already all around you and manifesting in many different ways.

Through some it manifests as pure love, through some it manifests as the warrior, for some it manifests as the scholar. The Hindus did have great wisdom when they began to recognize the many different faces of God and that is in a sense what you will see, what you can see happening.

Q: People imagine that as appearing as 1) Jesus coming back, but 2) as just a single personality returning with that.

One of my teachers said it would be more a group formation, or maybe the truest group formation is all of mankind and it’s not so easily recognizable that that’s happening. I mean, how do you see that re-manifesting?

Christ as Distributed Points of Light

A: I do see it more like that. The group — group might be a little misleading because in many ways it’s not an organized group that is aware of all its other counterparts, but it truly will be a more distributed form this time, you even see it reflected in the technology.

And that again is not a coincidence. It’s the energy that is manifesting.

The way consciousness is manifesting on this earth at present is very distributed. Distributed points of light, essentially. Which all go to make the one Christ.

Q: Well, my teacher referred to it as the networks of light.

A: That’s a great way to put it; it’s quite different than the way it was manifested when Jesus walked the earth.

Q: Right. It seems to me, it’s almost a hindrance that so many people are looking for a singular personality that they worship and look to for savior-ship. It’s almost like that interferes with just seeing it more in the way you put it.

A: Again, the real power lies in the Christ consciousness and that’s where to put the focus.

And those who are still operating from mistaken ideas are not really a match to the power of the Christ consciousness. In other words, not such a hindrance as you might think.

A Cell in the Body of Christ

Q: Right, I understand.

So, as far as my role, I’m basically a cell in the body of Christ and can support the nature of that through what I’ve been given in terms of either energy, perspective, feelings, thoughts?

A: That’s a perfect analogy, for each cell in a body has its own mission, as do you.

And you are alive and vibrant with the Christ energy. And how you contribute is quite unique.

Worship and Devotion

Q: Tell me some things about the whole idea of worship. It seems to me that this whole thing of worshipping is sort of a man-made idea. Or, what is the real true essence of that as far as a relationship with Christ?

A: The true essence of worship could be better known as devotion, which is a heart energy. And it’s a connection from the heart center, and that really is a better way to think of it.

Q: So staying devoted to my conscious connection with the Christ energy and trying to live that as sincerely as I can, I guess.

A: Yes.

Q: Devotion’s a good word. So devotion’s kind of a sincere servitude?

A: Right, that’s a good way to put it. And a respect, and appreciation.

Q: Ya, and I guess that of course it’s not my job to make sure things manifest the way they should, I just play my part as the cell…

A: Oh that would be quite the burden!

Q: LOL, ya… ya.. ya…….

Unfolding Over Time

Q: I don’t know how sensitive you are to dates and time but clearly there’s some movement in this area certainly in my lifetime, and certainly in the area of activation in terms of what needs to be addressed. Jesus referred to it as birthing pains.

How long do you see things sort of continuing on until let’s say we sort of “get it”? I don’t know how else to put it.

[Me: Here I thought I got distracted but essentially there was no answer/info forthcoming. The questioner could feel that too, that there's just no answer to this.]

Q: That’s fine, I get that. It’s just a continuing unfoldment. It’s not a goal, it’s not a point in time.

[Me: Yes, if anything, that's what I was getting. That it's not going to all of a sudden be real obvious. In fact the vision I got was like all this greenery and people so the greenery kind of means a lushness and an aliveness, and people beginning to work more in communion with the earth, and just a respectful connection with Mother Earth. And it's gradual. It's incremental. And so that's what I got. And as far as when -- just now when I said "as far as when" the numbers I saw were like 100-200 years. It's longer than we might hope. It's a ways in the future when we're really living in harmony.]

Q: That kind of makes sense. It seems like it would take generations to become a more massively conscious effort. [Me: Yes, that's what I saw.] Ya, that makes sense. As a human sometimes it’s so easy to expect immediate certainty and the whole biblical proportions thing where people imagine things occurring in seconds instead of years.

Look With New Eyes

Q: Anyway, because of Easter, and resurrection… I assume after the resurrection, Jesus walked the earth just at a higher vibration. Is that why people maybe didn’t fully see him or recognize him?

A: Yes. Part of the idea is that, well, actually going back to what you said: “recognize” is a perfect word, for the idea is that in order to experience your higher self you need to be aware that it may not look like what you expect it to. So recognize is kind of a tricky thing.

Q: That’s interesting because I feel like I’ve spent most of my years of light-work trying to recognize my own higher, and I’ve gotten a little closer, feeling a little more unified — and you’ve actually helped me with that. But it still seems a little elusive. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m making it too mental.

A: Maybe it’s because it’s not what you’re looking for. You’re looking for the wrong thing. That’s what I’m trying to say about Jesus. That people see what they’re expecting to see and this was different.

It’s to see without anticipating what it will look like. To look with new eyes.

Q: I feel like I’ve gotten into this little quandary where I’m trying too hard to surround myself… or sense… or feel connected to my own higher.

Do you have any comments that can help me in that area?

A: You can set the intention to connect with it and then see what’s there.

Connect with what’s there without it needing to be what you’re expecting.

Q: Ya, it’s tough sometimes.

A: Well, if you’re understanding me correctly it should be anything but tough, for whatever is there is there.

Q: Hmm, ya.

A: You don’t need to make a certain thing occur.

Q: Ya, that’s easy to get caught up in that. Okay, I’ll take a look at that, thanks.

If you have any last comments I’d appreciate it.

You Are Rising Right Now

A: The only final comment that I would make is that you also are rising at this time.

Allow it to happen. Don’t expect it to look a certain way. Just see what that means to you. Just do as you’ve been taught: think, let, experience, observe. And knock the little anticipation right out of there. And just see what’s happening, for you are rising right now.

It’s part of your intention and it’s your intention because it’s a part of what that cell’s mission is.

And so, embrace it on this Easter day, this day of rising, this day of resurrection.

Q: Thank-you and I love your messages. Whatever I’ve consciously assimilated at this point I will try to continue into this evening.

Your words are so simple, straight-forward, and just really powerful. They help me see a little clearer every time. Thank-you so much.

A: Thank-you, and you don’t need to try to do anything. Just relax. What’s meant to happen will just happen. Okay?

Now that I know channeling so intimately, I’m aware of how misunderstood it is. And I should know, because I used to misunderstand it too.

Since I get so many questions about it, I thought you might like an insider’s view of what it really is. As a professional channel, I can explain it from my perspective.

Most of you will find that it’s not what you think it is at all, but something quite normal that can be helpful to you in your everyday life, whether it’s done for you or you learn to do it yourself.

Let’s take a look first at what it’s not, and then at what it is.

Common Misconceptions About Channeling

1. First, channeling is NOT talking to ghosts or dead people, or letting them talk through you.

That’s called mediumship. I suppose you could say that’s a sub-category of channeling, but relating channeling to that just confuses the issue.

2. Channeling is definitely not something that’s just practiced by nut cases.

It’s a normal activity that we all do to some degree. (Yes, you likely do it and don’t even recognize it.)

This doesn’t mean that everyone who says they’re channeling is actually doing it to the extent they claim. Just like any skill, people practice it at different levels of expertise. Developing it to be used consistently and reliably takes time and attention.

And yes, this means that if you wanted to develop your channeling skills, you could.

3. It’s not always done in a deep trance, where an entity “takes over” someone’s body.

I’ve read about and even know some people who channel like this, but it’s not typical.

More often than not, the channel is what’s called a “conscious channel” and goes into a barely noticeable altered state that is more receptive than our more typical, alert state of mind.

So What Is Channeling Then?

Really, channeling is simply a means of accessing information. (And sometimes energy, but we’ll stick with information for now.) It’s information that you always have access to but don’t usually tap into or notice.

The significant thing is that this information is relatively free of your own clutter and subjective opinions. It may not reflect your own opinions at all.

Sometimes the information comes through with such crystal clarity and is so unexpected that it can make you gasp out loud.

The tricky thing about channeling is that it’s more an art than a science. Even when we get information, it’s not written in black and white. There’s a bit of finessing that needs to happen as it’s very subtle and nuances can easily be missed. So it’s essential to get experience with it before relying on it for important issues.

How Does Channeling Differ From Intuition?

Well, actually, channeling is a form of intuition, but it’s a unique mode of receiving the information.

It’s almost like it’s one level removed from your own intuitive impressions. It’s more objective in the sense that you don’t have to actually “feel” it or understand it. It just sort of drops in and there it is.

So there’s less processing to channeling, and not much (if any) interpreting involved. It really is more like you are just a channel for the information to come straight through.

At least that’s how I experience it. It seems a little more pure to me than intuitive impressions.

I would also say that channeling has a more continuous, connected flow to it, almost as if someone is talking to you. It just keeps coming and has a speed to it (sometimes fast and sometimes slow.)

When I channel, I find that my intuition definitely gets activated, but it’s obviously very different. It’s both a different way of receiving, and a way of receiving different information. These impressions come and go during the channeling session, somewhat alongside it, sometimes more a relevant part of it.

But Don’t You Have To Channel a Being? What About Guides?

There’s a long and a short way to answer this question. Right now we’ll do the short way.

(I personally don’t think there’s anything even outside ourselves at all, and that this is all us. But that’s a whole other discussion altogether. ;-) )

You can channel a being, but you don’t have to.

Even so, I’m not sure “being” is the right word. For those who do mediumship, they are connecting more with what we think of as a being than those who channel beings.

That said, it’s helpful to think of what you’re channeling as a being. I sometimes connect with particular healing guides and/or energies that are quite powerful and amazingly helpful.

But let’s enjoy a little irony here and see what one of my channeling guides said about whether they are beings or not. (I would like to quote directly from the audio, but most of them are not transcribed and are hard to search. For now, I’ll paraphrase what I remember.)

When asked about this, they explained that what they are is less a “being” and more a particular grouping of energy and information that can be tapped into for a particular purpose. Which grouping gets tapped into is dependent on the channel and on the purpose for each channeling.

When asked for a name, they will give me something that I think of more as a “handle”, or a way to be clear about who/what I am intending to connect with if I want to do so again.

Some people channel the same being or entity (most will say they are a group of entities) every time they channel.

I have a few whom I connect with often, but have always continued to meet new ones, depending on the situation and need. If I channel for someone else, I find it most productive to tap into energies and information specific to them and their concerns.

More Questions? Comments?

This is first in a series of what I foresee as quite a few articles about channeling. I’ve already got a long list of topics to cover, including answers to questions from my newsletter subscribers.

Still, I’d love to hear what questions you might have so I can be sure to address them too. Just put them in a comment here, or you can email them if you’d rather. (I know how it is! ;-) )

Or maybe you’ve got some helpful knowledge or experience with channeling yourself. If so, that’s great; please share!

As we’ve all learned by now, when it comes to colds and flu, the first line of defense is common sense. It involves not only good hygiene in public especially, but also keeping yourself humming along in a nicely balanced and relatively happy state.

But even with our best efforts, the best and most healthy of us sometimes succumb to the occasional cold, even if it’s only once every 3 or 4 years.

That was me over this last holiday season. I’m so not used to it and don’t have a lot of patience for it.

Here’s how I knocked it out in 4 days flat. (Of course, you don’t need to do all of these, just use whichever ones appeal to you.)

Note: I am only skimming the surface of most of these fields of healing. This is out of necessity else I’d have to write a book. If you look down the list I’m sure there will be some things you can apply right now depending on your level of knowledge, and I do offer a few links for more information.

1) Take homeopathic aconitum napellus

This is always my #1. This is the first action to take once you get the itty-bittiest hint that a cold might be coming on. I am convinced that this is the reason I only get a cold once every 3 or 4 years. This stuff is like magic. You feel the beginning of a symptom, you take an aconitum, no more symptoms. Voilà.

2) Use other homeopathy as indicated

It’s rare, but every now and then the cold gets a good enough hold of you that the aconitum doesn’t do it. At that point you may use a few other homeopathic remedies depending on your symptoms.

For me, I had some post-nasal drip so used kali bich and hydrastis candensis. I also began taking the Schuessler cell salts regularly.

All in all, over the whole 4-day period, as symptoms shifted slightly, I’d also used pulsatilla, influenzinum, occillococcinum, rhus tox, nux vomica, and bryonia alba. (Note: Some of my symptoms were more flu-like than cold, so I was hedging my bets. Since I don’t do flu shots, it could have been either or a combination.)

3) Get adequate vitamins and minerals

Vitamin C and zinc are good to be taking all the time, either in your diet or as supplements. I make doubly sure I am getting these if/when a cold is coming on.

4) Drink water

Drink lots of water! This can’t be overemphasized. On about my 3rd day I forgot about this and could feel the cold getting worse again. As soon as I picked back up on the water intake, the cold began to recede. Amazing stuff.

5) Keep your throat relatively germ-free

This is important early in the process but also good during, since you can actually reinfect yourself even as you recuperate. But the idea is that your nose and throat are often where the virus enters your body and if you can keep these areas clean you are likely wiping out a good number of those troublesome little partiers.

3 effective ways to do this are:

  1. Use a tongue scraper — very satisfying (these are good to use all the time, not just when you feel a cold coming on)
  2. Gargle periodically with water that has a drop of tea tree essential oil in it
  3. Take a zinc lozenge such as a Cold-eeze™.

6) Decongest

If you’ve got head congestion (and who doesn’t when a cold is starting?), there are several things you can do to minimize it.

  • One effective way is to put a drop of tea tree essential oil in a pan of water on the stove and gently breathe in the steam (not too close!)
  • Use 1/2 a drop of ravensara essential oil behind each ear
  • And one of the very best decongestant herbs is mullein. It grows wild around here and I collect/dry it to use, but you can get it at a health-food store. Just make a tea from it and drink it periodically throughout the day. You’ll notice a difference.

7) Drink ginger tea or spicy chai

This is based on the principals of Ayurveda, but a cold in the body is usually a kapha condition, and consuming food or drinks that help increase pitta is helpful. (If you want a reference book about Ayurvedic remedies, Dr. Vasant Lad’s The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Remedies is a good one.)

I like to do this by making some ginger tea; it’s fast and easy. All you do is grate some ginger root into a pan (I use the equivalent of about 1/2 a large carrot) and add 2 qt. of water. Simmer this for about 20 minutes. After it’s almost cool, add a touch of your (wholesome) sweetener of choice and strain it into a pitcher. Drink warm cups of this with soymilk added throughout the day.

The other drink I like is homemade chai. You can find my delicious recipe at the end of this article.

8 ) Stay warm

A cold is called a cold for a reason. It’s important to stay nice and cozy warm while you recover.

Sometimes I will use a heating pad (I know, this isn’t “natural” but it’s easy and I recommend it) but the very best thing is to take a nice hot bath with some epsom salts (they help pull toxins from your body) or a jacuzzi if you have one. Ahhh! This is especially helpful before going to bed.

9) Get a lot of sleep

When I have a cold, my sleep is disturbed. Even when I sleep, it’s lighter than usual and I wake up feeling like I was awake all night. Very odd.

Besides following general guidelines for getting a good night’s sleep, flower essences can help. I like the combination that is the equivalent of the Bach Sleepytime formula: White Chestnut, Rock Rose, Clematis, Impatiens, Cherry Plum, and Star of Bethlehem. I have a spray bottle of it and I also have drops which I put in my water glass near the bathroom sink, to sip if I get up during the night for any reason.

If I’m really not sleeping well at all I will sometimes resort to taking an antihistamine. Your body will not get deep natural sleep that way but in my experience it’s better than nothing so I do keep those on hand. Nothing’s better for healing than a good night’s sleep.

10) Avoid sugar

I had some type of sugar (a cookie or something, I don’t remember) and could immediately feel it in my body. It was as if I got set back to when I was feeling my worst. I suggest avoiding big doses of processed sugar if you can.

Subtle But Effective Remedies

I began by saying I would tell you how I managed to knock my cold out, but to be more precise, that’s not exactly what I was doing.

11) Get the message: You’re out of balance

First, don’t be mad at or feel you have to attack the cold. A better way to think of it is that the cold is a sign that you’re somehow out of balance or you wouldn’t have gotten it. It’s a messenger of sorts. And so, we get the message and take the actions that counteract our particular imbalance.

12) Think about what might have brought it on

I don’t mean that lady who sneezed on you at the grocery store. I’m talking about your life situation, especially some type of disturbance.

For example, this time I had just gotten a box of old diaries out of the closet. There was other old stuff in there that I started going through; old letters, some photos, cards I’d saved, etc. That is exactly when I first felt the cold symptoms. And they weren’t as obvious as sneezing or a sore throat (although they might be for you); it was just something “not right” with my body. But bingo, that was it. So make a note of that as it will be helpful as you move forward.

13) Do affirmations

Louise Hay wrote a book ages ago that I have gotten some great insights and benefit from. It’s called You Can Heal Your Life and toward the back she lists affirmations for each illness. It’s based on what she learned about the source of disease.

I looked up “Colds” and the probable cause she lists for that didn’t resonate with me (Too much going on at once. Mental confusion, disorder. Small hurts. “I get three colds every winter,” type of belief.) I looked up “Post-nasal drip” (yes, this gal gets specific) and that one did (Inner crying. Childish tears. Victim.) The moment I read it I felt an immediate  clutching in my heart area and felt like crying.

So I wrote the affirmation for that one on a piece of paper and repeated it often. Over the next day or so, and as I considered when my symptoms started, I realized that the probable cause for colds was a definite match too.

Here are the two affirmations I did, from her book:

Colds: “I allow my mind to relax and be at peace. Clarity and harmony are within me and around me.”

Post-nasal drip: “I acknowledge and accept that I am the creative power in my world. I now choose to enjoy life.”

As I look at these now, I see they might seem trivial, but if you’re familiar with the power of affirmations, you know they can pack quite a punch by addressing unconscious hang-ups.

14) Write or talk with someone

As you become more aware what emotional state is causing or related to your cold, it’s very good therapy to process that to some degree. I find writing in my journal is extremely enlightening and cathartic. Seeing the issue in black and white helps get your head around it, and solutions flow onto the page as well. I highly recommend it.

15) Use flower essences

I’m especially fond of the Bach Flower Essences. Although there are others I’ve played around with, the Bach set seems complete and sufficient for everything you might run into.

It’s helpful to use whichever essence will support you in healing whatever related emotional issue you’ve uncovered above. If you’re not familiar with these — or even if you are, I think Mechthild Scheffer’s book Bach Flower Therapy is one of the best available and pretty much the only one you need.

Two that I remember using were Crabapple and Rabbitbrush (this one is not Bach but I made it myself years ago and it’s for overwhelm, which matches Louise’s possible cause for colds, above.)

16) Practice Tolle’s method of being present in your body

In Eckhart Tolle’s book The Power of Now, page 103, he gives a process for enlightening your cells with presence.

Essentially, you “flood” your body with consciousness. Close your eyes and choose a part of your body to focus your attention on briefly at first: hands, feet, arms, chest, etc. Feel the energy or life force inside those parts as intensely as you can. Stay with each part for 15 seconds or so. Then let your attention run through your body like a wave a few times, from feet to head and back again. Do that for a minute or two. Then feel the inner body in its totality, as a single field of energy. Be intensely present in every cell of your body. Do this for a few minutes.

This is a preventive tonic for the immune system and can also work as “medicine” for any current disease. It’s powerful. You can actually feel the difference immediately.

Specialized Techniques

If you have access to or are trained in these next/final modalities, I highly recommend you practice them since they may be the most powerful of all.

17) Reiki

I am a Reiki practitioner so I gave myself some Reiki treatments. Full-body is best and in the beginning I also focused on the swollen glands in my neck area. There are also some good books about which areas to focus on for certain ailments.

So here’s a reminder if you know how to do this. And if you don’t, you may consider getting a treatment. These can be done long-distance, even while you’re cozy in your bed.

18) Matrix Energetics

I am trained in Matrix Energetics and so I used this to help shift the imbalance into a more “useful” condition. There’s nothing magic here, even though it’s so surprisingly powerful that it seems like it sometimes, and I will be sharing over time some techniques you can use yourself.

I will also be offering Matrix Energetics related services pretty soon. Stay tuned.

19) Connect with healing guides

I actually have a few particular guides who show up regularly when healing is called for. I always feel a shift as they work with me, sometimes with the condition clearing up completely.

If you know how to connect with your guides, invite them to help you or ask them if they can usher in some other guides who specialize in healing.

If not, then you may want to get a session with someone who can call this help in for you. (The Matrix Energetics related services I just mentioned above will include connecting with guides as well.)

20) Actualism

My husband trained in and practiced something called Actualism lightwork for several decades and he led us through a session related to the Divine Mother energy. Powerful and soothing.

If you have any experience at all with using energy, light or consciousness to heal, now’s a good time to practice it! If you don’t, but would like to, stay tuned to this space since being able to effectively develop those skills is a large part of what I am here to share with you.

My Chai Recipe

These measurements are approximate. You want it to be fairly concentrated.

  • Ginger root (about 1/2 of a large carrot’s worth, grated)
  • Star anise (whole, about 2 T)
  • Cinnamon (1-2 sticks, or 1-2 t powdered)
  • Fennel seed (about 2 t, ground in a pestle)
  • Cardamom seed (about 1 t, ground in a pestle)
  • Black pepper (about 15 twists from a grinder)
  • Clove (about 1 heaping t whole or 1/8 – 1/4 t ground)
  • Nutmeg (about 1/8 t, grated)

Put all ingredients in a pan with about 2 qts. of water. Simmer, covered for about 25 min. After it cools some, strain into a pitcher. Sweeten just a touch with agave nectar or your sweetener of choice. Serve hot (Ayurveda would technically say warm) with soy milk (I use vanilla soymilk). Yum, and so good for you!

Here’s to a happy and healthy winter! (Or summer, as it may be. ;-) )

I know there are lots more natural/vibrational remedies; these are just the ones that popped into my mind over those 4 days. Do you have any favorites you’d like to share?

For the first time ever, I’d like to share this gentle yet effective 2-minute practice I’ve developed. You can use it whenever you’d like (I recommend first thing in the morning).

It will open you to inspiration in all its forms that you might better express what you alone are uniquely qualified to bring into the world.

It will also connect your body and conscious awareness to the more expanded self that you are, and all that that implies. (I used to say “I open [whatever] to receive [whatever]…”, but that insinuates it’s not already a part of me, which it is!) In practical terms, this means that it puts you more in tune with your intuition or your own inner guidance, and helps you notice things that you might not otherwise but that can be helpful — sometimes powerfully so — to you in your day to day life.

As I have, it’s gone through a lot of changes over the years and I’m sure we will go through many more. If you decide to try it out, do see how it resonates with you and do tweak it to fit you.

I suppose you could say it’s a prayer, but I experience it more as a full-body declaration, bordering on celebration! It can be quite enlivening if you really let yourself feel it, which I highly recommend you do.

Like me, you will probably find that as you open to all the various gifts, you can’t help but be aware of and appreciate them immediately. This alone is uplifting nevermind all the other good stuff!

It’s an exquisite way to begin any day.

Enjoy!

I Open

I open myself to the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my crown to receive
Divine Light and High Guidance.

I open my mind to be attentive and to notice
the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my eyes to see the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my ears to hear the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my nose to smell the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my mouth to taste the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my throat to speak the messages of my soul,
the messages of my guides,
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my heart to feel the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my solar plexus and the rest of my body
to sense the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

I open my pelvic bowl to empower
the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe

I open my arms to accept and embrace
the messages of my soul
and the gifts of the universe.

And I open my hands to give back to the world
using the gifts I am so graciously given.

And so it is. Thank you. Amen.
